Galvanic Cathodic Protection Systems

A galvanic anode, also known as a sacrificial anode, is the key component of a galvanic cathodic protection system designed to shield buried or submerged metal structures from corrosion.

Master Builders Solutions anodes are made from metal alloys with a more "active" voltage (more negative reduction potential or more positive oxidation potential) than the metal of the structure they protect. The potential difference between the two metals causes the galvanic anode to corrode, effectively being "sacrificed" to safeguard the integrity of the structure.
