How Does MasterEmaco P 5000ZR Work?

MasterEmaco P 5000ZR is a single-pack zinc-rich primer designed for use with MasterEmaco concrete repair mortars. It not only offers excellent adhesion properties but also provides superior corrosion prevention to protect reinforcement steel. It conforms to AS/NZS 3750.9 Type 1 and provides cathodic protection to steel.

MasterEmaco P 5000ZR is used for the protection of reinforcement steel in various applications:

  • Primer for Reinforcing Steel: Ideal for cementitious concrete repair applications as part of a remedial package (MasterEmaco/BluCem cementitious mortars).

  • Zinc-Rich Repair Primer or Holding Primer: This can be used effectively as a repair or holding primer.

  • Direct Application: Must be applied directly to suitably prepared bare steel or previously applied zinc-rich coatings.

  • Critical Environments: Recommended when extra protection is specified in demanding environments.
